Welcome to the Library of Birmingham’s digital image galleries. Here you can browse and search for digitised content from the extensive archive and special collections held here.

Items include documents, photographs, maps and plans, audio-visual material, rare books, amongst many other formats, as well as items that were originally created in digital format.

Archive Records relating to Birmingham City Council and some earlier (now defunct) local government bodies

The Shakespeare Collection. The majority of the content in this collection comprises books, production photographic prints, programmes, audio-visual material, and various ephemera. Digital content displayed here comprises (at present) a limited digitsed by volunteers and support staff working on the 'Everything to Everybody' project (see https://everythingtoeverybody.bham.ac.uk/). We hope to make more content available in the future as the digital archive created as part of the project is uploaded to our Preservica digital repository system.
